Pizhong Qiao named Engineering Mechanics Institute Fellow

Center PI Pizhong Qiao, professor at WSU, was named a fellow of the American Society of Civil Engineers’ Engineering Mechanics Institute (EMI). Qiao was recognized for his contributions to civil engineering research, particularly in structural composites and mechanics, and his commitment and participation within the EMI. His research areas include smart structural health monitoring, impact-resistant materials and high-performance green concretes. Qiao will be recognized as a fellow at the upcoming EMI 2017 conference, set for June in San Diego.
