Patricia Ruiz Bowen passed Thesis Defense!
Congratulations to Patricia Ruiz Bowen! On April 20th, 2016, Patricia passed her MS Engineering Science Management thesis defense. Her thesis topic is “Virtual Designs in Interior Alaska Government Construction.” During this study, Patricia studied the application and potential of a software and process called Building Information Modeling (BIM). BIM is required for government construction and is a relatively new technology for planning construction three-dimensionally rather than two-dimensionally. The objective is to streamline construction processes and to reduce the amount of changes which need to be made during construction. CESTiCC researcher Dr. Robert Perkins was her faculty advisor.
