CESTiCC presented at the spring SWANA Meeting in Anchorage
Sheng Zhao, Joe Alloway and undergraduate student Kannon Lee presented information about CESTiCC at the spring meeting of the Solid Waste Association of North America (SWANA) in Anchorage on Friday, April 15th. The meeting was held at Central Recycling Services (CRS) and discussed different recycled materials and their potential applications in construction. The importance of further research was also discussed, and CESTiCC was happy to be a part of the conversation.
The CESTiCC team also toured Anchorage Sand and Gravel (AS&G) and were very impressed with the quality, scale, and professionalism of the operation. The amount of care and concern given to sustainable construction was extremely heartening. CESTiCC looks forward to working on research with these organizations in the future.
