Somayeh Nassiri receives grant from the American Concrete Institute

CESTiCC PI Somayeh Nassiri has received a grant from the American Concrete Institute (ACI) for her research exploring Pervious Concrete Pavement (PCP). PCP is a form of pavement which is growing in popularity for use in places like city streets, parking lots, and sidewalks because it has a much faster water infiltration rate than non-pervious concrete, which reduces common water related hazards. CESTiCC has sponsored several research projects relating to Pervious Concrete, including Dr. Nassiri’s current project, Prediction of Thermal Behavior of Pervious Concrete Pavements in Winter. Congratulations, Dr. Nassiri!
