Joe Alloway and Srijan Aggarwal present on air quality at Pearl Creek Elementary School

Dr. Srijan Aggarwal and Joe Alloway presented on Air Quality in Interior Alaska to students of all grade levels at Pearl Creek Elementary School on December 8th. Winter in interior Alaska often brings temperature inversions. These inversions trap pollutants, such as wood smoke and vehicle exhaust, in the lower atmosphere, where they become an environmental hazard. The presentations taught students how to protect themselves and what they could do to improve air quality in cold climates.
