Anthony Mullin and Carrie Sorensen receive Coral Sales Scholarship
Congratulations to Anthony Mullin and Carrie Sorensen, awardees of the 2016 Douglas P. Daniels/Coral Sales Company Scholarship! Anthony Mullin is a Ph.D candidate in Civil Engineering under the supervision of Dr. Jenny Liu, and he is about to graduate this fall. Carrie Sorensen is a MS student pursuing an interdisciplinary degree in Transportation Statistics and is currently working on a research project with Dr. Nathan Belz. On October 25th, 2016, Damian Casados from Coral Sales Co. visited Fairbanks to present the two scholarships. The scholarships are awarded to students dedicated to transportation who exhibit the characteristics of Leadership and strong interpersonal communication. CESTiCC director Dr. Jenny Liu and CEE faculty Billy Connor and Dr. Nathan Belz attended the scholarship reception with their students. Coral Sales Co., headquartered in Portland, Oregon, specializes in supplying high quality safety and maintenance products to the transportation industry in the Pacific Northwest, and has been supporting transportation engineering students at universities in that region since 1987.
