Joe Alloway presents about transportation at Pearl Creek Elementary
Outreach coordinator Joe Alloway presented a workshop on driving force and motion for students at Pearl Creek elementary in March. The presentation explained various factors which can affect roads and how we use them. The students were then challenged to make their own roads using asphalt sample and tracks, including various obstacles. They were given three challenges: to make a functional road with bumps, to make a road with cracks, and to build a bridge that their model could consistently go across. Almost all of the teams were able to successfully complete all three tasks. Good job, young engineers!
