Laura Fay presents for APWA North American Snow conference in Des Moines
The American Public Works Association (APWA) North American Snow Conference was held on April 23-25 in Des Moines, Iowa. The conference was an opportunity for snow control experts and educators to share their research and regional approaches to snow management. Center Associate Director Laura Fay attended and presented “Salty Water & Brown Trees – Current Strategies to Mitigate Impacts”. The presentation focused on potential impacts of abrasives, chlorides, acetates, formats, glycerols, glycols, and blended products on air quality, surface & ground water, roadside soils, flora, and fauna.
