Abstract

These presentations are part of the 2016 CESTiCC Summer workshop, which will be held on August 12th, 2016 in Bozeman Montana. The presentations for the first session are as follows. Exploratory Study into Bio-based Renewable Additives for Anti-icing Applications Lectern 8 - Xianming Shi Durable Green Coal Fly Ash Concrete Lectern 9 -Ning Xie Freeze-Deicer Salt Scaling Resistance of Fly Ash Pervious Concrete: A mechanistic investigation Lectern 10 - Gang Xu Characterization of Alaskan Hot-Mix Asphalt containing Reclaimed Asphalt Pavement Material Lectern 11 - Sheng Zhao Unlike standard webinars, there will not be time for question and answer after each presentation. Speaker Bio(s)

Xianming Shi is an Associate Professor in the department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Washington State University. He is also Director of the Laboratory of Advanced & Sustainable Cementitious Materials (ASCM) and the Laboratory of Corrosion Science & Electrochemical Engineering (CSEE). 

Ning Xie is a research scientist at Montana State University. He and Dr. Shi's recent work, Optimization of Elastic Polymer Modification Rates Based on Contemporary Relative Costs vs. Benefits (New Mexico DOT) was recently named to the DOT's 2016 Sweet Sixteen list. 

Gang Xu is a Civil Engineering PhD candidate at Washington State University. 

Sheng Zhao is the Research Coordinator for CESTiCC at the University of Alaska Fairbanks.
