Project Information

This research is to investigate prestress loss due to concrete creep occurred in precast concrete Decked Bulb-Tee (DBT) type bridge girders located in cold climate regions. Concrete creep test frames will be fabricated, and concrete creep measured in cold ambient environment will be compared with the one in the controlled environment. Prestress loss design provisions for the DBT girders will be proposed and girder design examples will be developed.
